SAP PM - Components in IA05

Dear SAP Gurus,

Kindly guide me on the below issue.

I have components assigned to a functional location which includes both stock and Non stock items (N & L).

But, when I create a Task list and in the components tab, i add the non stock materials, the item category is automatically showing as stock item(L)
