Convert a hexadecimal to string/long

Dear All,

I want to convert hexadecimal values coming from a scanner to a string or number.

Example:

Value => 0x340x320x34 must result in 424

I used the site Convert Hex to String - Hex-to-String Online Tool - String Function to give me the proper values,

however I cannot find the equivalent (PFC) function for doing that.

I do not want to use database functions as this is a local application.

Pleas advise!
