Dear BW folks,

I'm facing some issues in extracting orgunit hierarchy data from CRM system.

The datasource is 0CRM_ORGUNIT_HR01_HIER.

I have activated the business content for this hierarchy datasource and while triggering the infopackage, data is not updated to the target and the status remain

yellow indefinitely (See snapshot)

Snapshot.PNG

Target infoobject is 0ORGUNIT.

Any insight on how to resolve this is highly appreciated.

Did anyone else get a mail from sap@mailsap.com (Mike Griffiths) asking to install a server certificate via a link?

The download is a GET= parameter against SMP, but the source is unknown and requests you to anstall a server certificate...

I reported it to SAP. If anyone else gets it then I suggest waiting until the real SAP confirms.

Cheers,

Hi,

I am wondering if anyone can tell what data type I should use for defining BO which can hold all type of data value.

My requirement is similar like 'var' in absl script or like variance type.

Can  I use "LANGUAGEINDEPENDENT_Text" data type?

Depreciation Calculated wrongly for Retired Assets

$
0
0

Dear,

We are doing implementation of Asset Accounting. Our Depreciation calculation is day wise calculation basis. During Retirement of Assets, system is not considering exact date & days for the calculation of Depreciation to the retired Assets.

For an example,

Asset No. XXXX  Acquisition on 11.04.2013 = 1,00,000 INR.

Depreciation 25%

Depreciation upto 31.08.2013 (11.04.2013 to 31.08.2013 = 143 Days) = 9794.52. It is calculate correctly.

But Asset is Retired on 02.09.2013 @ full retirement. (11.04.2013 to 02.09.2013 = 145 Days)

Depreciation upto 02.09.2013 = 9931.51 has to consider during retirement.

But here system is considering only 144 Days for Depreciation calculation and post the Depn. Value of 9863.01 INR only.

Suppose, if we put Retirement Document Date & Posting Date as 02.09.2013 and Asset Value Date as 03.09.2013 in ABAON t.code, then system is calculating as per our requirement with considering of 145 days for Depreciation calculation. The Asset Value date 03.09.2013 is updated in Asset master General Data view --> Deactivate on. It is not acceptable. Because retirement happening on 02.09.2013 but Asset deactivation date is 03.09.2013.

Can anyone check and let me know how to proceed this issue?

Regards,

M.Mohan.

Hi All,

I need to create a database with language "Simplified Chinese". So in the new database I have changed the language. The problem is that now the language has changed for all databases on my server from English to Chinese. I need to work on some other databases simultaneously. I need to understand why language change in one database leads to language change in all other databases. Need a resolution on the issue.

Upgrade to BW 7.31 SP08 - Error in phase "Execution"

$

Hi experts,

We want to upgrade our BW-System from 7.00 to 7.31 (we are also using the SEM-AddOn, so we have to upgrade this addon from 600 to 736). During the phase "Execution" in SUM, the error occurred: "Batchjob Enhupgphase aborted". It is not possible to continue the Upgrade, so the whole project is currently interrupted.

In the run ( in XPRASUPG ) occured another error, but we were able to solve this one. Considering note 644610 we created a special RFC-Connection to client 100 and restarted the SUM with option "Accept Non severe errors".

In the attached document can be found some screenshots.

Is there any idea, to solve this issue?

Best regards

Vendor Master Contact Creation BAPI

Hi All

I am trying to create a vendor contact upload program but I am having trouble with the BAPI I have. It seems like it works for update but I want to create a new contact.

BAPI_ADDRESSCONTPART_GETDETAIL and BAPI_ADDRESSCONTPART_CHANGE is complaining because I haven't filled out the importing parameter obj_id_p which requires the partner number (which obviously doesn't exist yet)

Does anyone know of the correct BAPI to use to insert new contacts for Vendor? Am I using this BAPI wrong?

I receive this error:

Beyond the Vees of Big Data

Everyone has heard about the three Vees of Big Data—Volume, Variety and Velocity. But what does a Big Data landscape look like in practice? And how does NoSQL and schema-less data fit into this? I will try to get beyond the rhetoric and share some real-world specifics from Big Data luminaries such as LinkedIn, Netflix and Yahoo.

Note: We will be broadcasting these sessions live, so you can join virtually, and ask the speaker questions. We might even record the sessions. The access link will be posted and tweeted on the day of the event.

I watched this today online at ASUGNews.com and with my disclaimer - these are my notes as I heard them.

Figure 1: Source: SAP

Figure 1 shows the scope of “dark data” as defined by SAP.  SAP’s Christian Rodatus and Adam Binnie presented today’s keynote.

Here is the Youtube trailer:

We heard the phrases “Discover new insights”, “Power of connected knowledge”,  “Unleash power of collective insight”.

Enterprise BI

2fig.png

Figure 2: Source: SAP

Three categories are listed in Figure 2:

  1. Enterprise BI

   2.  Agile BI

   3.  Advanced Analytics

At this point Christian mentioned Big Point, makers of BattleStar Galactica – shoots, gamer, offers something

  • Complex event processing
  • Predictive models
  • HANA
  • Compute – offer real time offer management
  • “decision in a second”

Video:

At this point, Adam Binnie presented Enterprise BI, defined as BI4.1

3fig.PNG

Figure 3: Source: SAP

Figure 3 covers Enterprise BI, which is BI when they need it, where they need it

What does it mean? BI4.1

SAP says BI4.1 is “one suite for all insight, one place for all information, one standard for Enterprise BI”.  They said they had a fast successful ramp-up.  They recommend customers move towards it for reliable, stable, “full of innovation”.

One suite that is connected better, as it connects to BW, Hadoop, any source .

It is one standard for BI – well managed, organized, and trusted

Adam demonstrated BI4.1 Analysis for OLAP

4fig.png

Figure 4: Source: SAP

Adam demonstrated through a quick sort to show which airlines has worst departure delay

Then with one click from Analysis OLAP he went to Design Studio, assigned it the mobile category, and it was available on the iPad with swiping.

One click takes you to Design Studio, which can deploy to the iPad:

SAP mentioned 3M who had a quite successful in ramp-up in BI4.1

Agile Visualization

Lumira is on a fast release cycle

It leverages HTML5

There is a new option called Compose, with the ability to create visual story and share

Predictive

Figure 8: Source: SAP

With Predictive, you can “foresee the future before it happens” and it is part of Advanced Analytics

Who is at risk, who is the most valuable customer?

You create models to apply broadly – everyone can leverage them

Use predictive to gain new insight about the future

9fig.png

Figure 9:

Predictive leverages Lumira, with a diversity of algorithms, R support

The power is to take those models and operate real-time in HANA

They then showed the eBay video; eBay has 50 petabytes of data

Partnering in Ecosystem

Figure 10: Source: SAP

Figure 10 shows an open system, with over 100 partners present

450 startups are leveraging HANA

Wipro built some visual extensions using the SDKs.  One was a telecom loyalty chart

Adam Binnie demonstrated a free extension to Dashboards using real-time  event stream processing –He said this could be used with any stream of data in real-time.  You can apply to your operations center, machine data, using who is coming in and out of retail location.  It is available in a few weeks.

SAP Project experience opportunities (by paying?)

$

(This mainly concerns for aspiring SAP candidates in India... )

Hello,

As we all know that lack of "SAP experience" is the biggest entry barrier new SAP graduates currently face to get into this eco-system... despite having already trained from authorised, well-reputed institute + Certification etc.

I came across some companies / placement agencies (mostly around Hyderabad or Bangalore area) that give you opportunities to gain SAP experience on LIVE projects for 2-3 months. By paying ()

My question is:

  • How genuine are these offers? do they really provide good experience worth enough to put in your CV?
  • Can anyone share their experiences or refer any such company.

The fact that candidate has to "pay" to work on their projects.., makes me bit skeptic. But may be I am missing so me point, may be that's how things work. May be majority of such offers are indeed sham but with.in that there may lie some genuine opportunities for candidates seeking to fill any skill gap and gain SAP experience this way.

Thanks,

best wishes,

1- Criar o fornecedor, referente ao financiamento;

2- Lançar os títulos para tal fornecedor e seus vencimentos;

Gostaria de saber se no lançamento das parcelas é possível lançar todas automaticamente ou de forma mais rápida que uma a uma. Alguém sabe?
